Job Description
You will be coordinating to technical selection of electrodes based on their physical and chemical and corrosion properties as well as considering their weldability and economics.
You will support welding school facility in the training and development of the workforce to improve the welding methodology and good workmanship practices
Your responsibilities::
Your main responsibility will beliaises with the Quality team, Welding production team on future developments and latest technology available related to welding activities.
Coordinate welding procedure qualification activities & develop project weld plan & implement.
Ensure the welder qualification test are conducted in accordance to the project spec / company standard and ensure all the relevant documentations are reviewed periodically
Who we are looking for::
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Diploma in Welding Engineering.
less than 5 years of related work experience accepted, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Basic knowledge in Maritime, Oil & Gas industries
Experience in developing (WPS) Welding Procedure Specification to applicable codes & standards.
Experience in qualification of welders in various process {SMAW, FCAW (SS & GS), SAW, GTAW etc.}
