About the role:
Reporting to the Site Operations and Coordinator / Manager, the Site Operator is responsible for performing day to day operational activities while supporting the Supervisor in the safe operation of the terminal and to ensure efficient, reliable movement of hydrocarbons. In this role you will be providing leadership of health, safety, security and environment.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor process equipment including pumps, compressors etc.
- Perform routine inspection of equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Complete daily administrative
- Respond to upsets/ breakdowns, troubleshoot equipment issues, and implement corrective actions
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and timely problem resolution
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and emergency response drills
- Able to Hold a MSIC card & Defence ID (Pass AFP check)
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams (good to have)
- Trade or technical qualifications favourable
- Proficient computer skills with experience in process control systems preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work Mon-Fri 8am-4pm with rotating shifts, Weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required for Shipping & Bunkering activities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Forklift licence (good to have training provided if needed)
