Training Operator Technician(s)
Position Responsibilities:
- Carries out Operations Department unit duties as outlined in assigned area of responsibility
- Responsible for executing the daily unit operations including unit start-up, unit shutdown, process adjustment, equipment prep for maintenance, unit sampling and analyses calculation, operations functions during plant turnarounds and operator performed maintenance tasks
- Maintains proper levels, temperatures, pressures and flows
- Monitors and makes proper adjustments to the operating units control board instrumentation to maintain the unit within the prescribed control limits
- Obtains and records data readings
- Performs various cleaning and supply functions on various pieces of equipment.
- Collects product sampling
- Communicates operating and environmental problems as appropriate
- Writes work orders
- Prepares equipment for maintenance repair
- Responsible for the overall safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation of their respective units. Makes changes in operations parameters based on knowledge, experience, instructions, sample results, etc., may pump or transfer, gauge and sample
- Investigates operating problems and takes appropriate action
- Maintains various logs, reports, charts, etc.
- Writes maintenance notifications and safety permits as required
Experience/Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Technical, industrial, craft degree or other training applicable to Operations and/or at least 3 years of experience applicable to Operations
- Acceptable work history
- Pass pre-employment requirements
- Ability to safely perform essential job functions
