Description
Located out of the Inter Pipeline Ltd. (IPL) Coronation office, the Field Operator (Measurement) will report to the Manager, Measurement and Product Quality. This is a frontline role primarily responsible for supporting product quality testing and providing support for mobile meter proving. The focus of this integral role will be ensuring reliability, coverage, and consistency during peak times of laboratory analysis and meter proving for the Bow River Pipeline (District 3).
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
· Conduct measurement activities in compliance with company and other required measurement standards.
· Process Mid-Month and Month End Composite Samples for area locations
· Collect & process samples to support blending activities, guiding third parties as necessary
· Maintain Lab Analysis Equipment Calibration Compliance at are Laboratories
· Cross train to support IPL mobile prover truck proving BRPL D3 sites targeting 90%+ of portable proves on a month-to-month basis
· Manage your day-to-day activities and decisions in a cost-effective manner
· Work with team to sample and maintain blending location target VP, Viscosity and Density limits.
· Conduct PM’s, CM’s, troubleshooting and repairs as assigned on work orders to manufacturer’s specifications as a minimum
· Provide operational support to district operators when required
Education, Skills & Experience
· High School diploma or GED
· 5 years of oil and gas operations experience
· Instrumentation or Measurement experience would be considered an
Hours
9 hour shifts Monday-Friday, every second Friday off
