Desalination Plant Operator – Bahrain
Our Client a Water Treatment Technology Company is looking for a talented & experienced Desalination Plant Operator
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment equipment, including pumps, membranes, valves, and instrumentation, to ensure efficient and continuous water purification.
- System Monitoring: Continuously monitor the RO system’s performance, water quality parameters, and equipment status to identify and address any deviations or issues promptly.
- Water Quality Control: Maintain strict adherence to water quality requirements by adjusting operational parameters, chemical dosing, and system controls as needed to produce high-quality treated water.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, leaks, and system irregularities to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted water production.
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute routine preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, sanitizing, and replacing components (cartridge filters, bag filters etc.) to ensure the long-term reliability and efficiency of the RO plant.
- Chemical Handling: Handle and store chemicals and reagents safely, following established protocols and guidelines. Check chemical levels and refill or replace containers;
- Data Recording: Maintain accurate records of operational data, including flow rates, pressure, temperature, and chemical dosing, for regulatory compliance and performance analysis.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training to minimize workplace hazards.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to equipment failures, power outages, and emergency situations, implementing contingency plans to prevent or mitigate disruptions in water production.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, and other team members to coordinate repairs, upgrades, and process improvements to enhance system performance.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Chemical , Mechanical or Electrical
- Minimum 3 years of Water treatment experience in operating a RO plant
- 3+ years in industry of RO skids / MMF skids
- Knowledge on plant safety and EHS.
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literate
