Responsibilities
Sargent & Lundy’s clients in the energy and industrial markets recognize us as a global leader in coal and gas power generation, plant design, advanced technologies, environmental compliance, mid-stream and downstream oil & gas and multi-disciplined industrial projects.
We provide comprehensive engineering, design, analysis, and consulting for energy and industrial markets worldwide. Sargent & Lundy’s professional and highly experienced staff has the ability and know-how to take on the smallest of tasks to scope-intensive, complex projects. In this position, you will have an opportunity to work for an industry leader. This position will also provide you with the ability to identify areas of improvement in site/work conditions, as well as, executing various quality surveillances and reports.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Oversight of the project for specific Mechanical activities
- Provide interface between contractors/subcontractors and client
- Review/Create project specific site work plans
- Review/Create and prepare quality surveillance plans
- Prepare and review a variety of reports, which include construction and quality surveillances, source inspections, and certified material tests
- Review calibration records
- Generate non-conformance reports
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during construction activities and provide resolution
Qualifications

In order to qualify, it is essential that you have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 7 or more years of experience in the construction field
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective experience working in a collaborative team environment
- Exceptional work habits
- Resourceful and enthusiastic attitude
Valued but not required skills and experience:
- PE license
- PMP
