Electrical Technician, Offshore Job

Activity

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on various electrical equipment

Profile

• Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years’ study) or BTS/DUT or equivalent in electrical discipline
• 1 to 10 years experience in O&G or industrial industries (1 to 5 for tech, 5 to 10 for skilled tech)
• Have a basic understanding of facilities/process (from well to export). Be knowledgeable of hydrocarbons behavior and associated risks (explosion, asphyxia…).
• Be able to read and use drawings (single line and schematic diagrams), vendor documents, nameplate. Be knowledgeable of electrical symbols.
• Possess notions on cable sizing and voltage dropping
• Be aware of area classification, marking for hazardous area ATEX rules, and Ex explosion-proof materials.
• English speaking
