Job Purpose
Supervise Senior Mechanics and Mechanics in the maintenance and repair of static and rotating equipment at assigned facilities.
Job Responsibilities
Mechanical maintenance: Install, maintain and repair static and rotating equipment at assigned facilities.
1. Participate in the installation, commissioning and start-up of offshore static and rotating mechanical equipment components.
2. Carry out the maintenance plan and preventive maintenance schedules using the CMMS for facility mechanical equipment.
3. Guide Senior mechanics and Mechanics in maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing static and rotating mechanical equipment.
4. Analyze and report on equipment failures and propose solutions.
5. Order spare parts and maintain inventory of mechanical equipment and materials.
6. Participate in site acceptance testing, commissioning and start-up of new static and rotating mechanical equipment installations.
7. Recommend upgrades or other system improvements to meet operating objectives more efficiently and cost-effectively.
HSE: Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with DOTL mechanical equipment safety policy and procedures.
1. Carry out all operating activities in accordance with company, local and international HSE rules and regulations.
2. Ensure that an approved Permit to Work is in place prior to beginning any work activities, and that all permit conditions are adhered to throughout the job.
3. Ensure compliance with policies regarding hazardous area classifications and equipment usage.
4. Ensure complete isolation of mechanical equipment before commencing maintenance and repair work.
5. Take all necessary precautions to protect the safety of site personnel.
Coaching and mentoring: Actively contribute to the development of staff.
1. Support staff in meeting needs for employee training, development and skill gap closure.
2. Mentor staff to ensure appropriate succession management.
