Safety Officer

Brunel is an industry leader when it comes to delivering successful results for our client base across the Construction, Rail, Infrastructure, Mining and Oil & Gas industries.

Our client is an established Tier 2 Commercial Construction Contractor with an enviable track record in completing a range of projects in Perth and across WA as a whole; due to continued project wins they are now seeking a Safety Officer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct site inspections and ensure all staff members are complying to the WHS regulations
Develop and implement the Work Health and Safety plans
Report to management on all Work Health and Safety matters
Incident investigation
Workers compensation management
Hazard and risk mitigation
Assist in Leading Hand duties
Liaising with subcontractors regarding safety
Key Requirements:

Construction experience preferred
Cert IV WHS / OHS
Initiative and Proactive approach
Effective communications skills both written and verbal
Relevant health and safety qualifications
Ability to build strong relationships
