The Maintenance Planners will provide coordination of the maintenance and servicing of the various equipment at the various facilities and field locations.
We are currently recruiting for 8 Maintenance Planners on behalf of our client.
Location- Papua New Guinea
Duration- 12 month (renewable)
Rotation- 28 / 28
Responsibilities
Planning and Scheduling of Preventative Maintenance & Corrective Maintenance, vendor inspections and repairs of associated plant.
To co-ordinate the activities of the Maintenance Trades groups including contractor labour through the Work Management System to ensure optimum utilisation of opportunities and resources and ensure that safety, environmental, operational, cost and scheduled targets are met.
The role prepares future work (six weeks look ahead) to improve the efficiency of the future maintenance works.
Produce work plans and individual work packs for a facility and its workgroups for all future work beyond the current scheduled week. This includes developing job lists, establishing parts requirements, labour estimates, and detailed work plans and schedules for each work task ensuring the workgroup can execute the work with no planning delays.
Participate in the routine planning meetings.
Organise, assist and monitor Vendors in scheduling their assigned activities
Participate in regular review of Preventative Maintenance programmes, work procedures, track work performance against plans to ensure they meet business needs and that they reflect good maintenance and operating practices.
Liaise with maintenance supervisors to organise labour to carryout Preventative Maintenance and or Corrective Maintenance tasks.
Source materials, both stock and non-stock for Planned and Corrective work.
When necessary, undertake any repairs and maintenance on environmental equipment.
DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY – Decisions or Recommendations
All decisions associated with Job Planning including how a job is to be job stepped, duration estimates and parts requirements in conjunction with the maintenance supervisor.
Requisition spare parts from Warehouse to meet work tasks.
Develop and execute work orders for contractors.
Comply with safe working practices and procedures as established.
Required Experience
Excellent understanding of Planning Concepts and Principles.
A good understanding of Microsoft projects.
Should be able to read, understand and interpret basic Instrument/Electrical and pneumatic loop drawings and mechanical drawings
Engineering degree with three (3) years maintenance planning and execution experience.
Trade qualification with three (3) years maintenance planning and execution experience.
Minimum five (5) years’ experience working in Petrochemical or mining industry on maintenance or construction activities
